CIMMYT is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and service-oriented professional for the position of Network Analyst with knowledge in community management plays a crucial role in the implementation of the projects of CIMMYT Academy. The position contributes to developing engagement actions with the Academy and its students, past (through the Alumni Network) and present, and the CIMMYT internal Capacity Development network and the Alumni network, among other stakeholders.

 It supports resource generation efforts and is responsible for the creation, development, and reviewing of the multimedia content and creative versioning of existing materials for supporting the online presence and social media activities of CIMMYT Academy, enhancing interaction, and providing valuable content to users.

 The position will be based at CIMMYT headquarters in Texcoco, State of Mexico, near Mexico City.

Specific duties:

  • Market the CapDev offer, portfolio of services.
  • User Interaction: Engage with users, including students, alumni, partners, who interact on social media platforms, addressing inquiries and fostering community engagement.
  • Internal Capacity Development Network: support teams from the Academy in their internal communications and initiatives with stakeholders, research programs and projects.
  • Alumni network: Support all Engagement and communications initiatives with the Academy’s alumni network.
  • Establish calendar and support the organization of events.
  • Continuous marketing of CIMMYT Academy CapDev programs, portfolio of services, offerings and paid programs through social media, email blasts, monthly newsletters, stakeholder engagements etc.
  • Engagement with Donors and Partners: Support in the continuous engagement with donors, partners, and other stakeholders of the Academy through feedback sessions, needs assessment, newsletters, and other engagement modalities.
  • Support in Resource Generation: Support in drafting concept notes, proposals, research, and identification of proactive and reactive funding/partnership opportunities under the overall guidance of the supervisor/head of the Academy.
  • Support in continuous market/partner needs assessment of current-edge training programs based on CIMMYT’s research and innovations.
  • Marketing and Communications Content Creation: Assist in the creation of original and engaging content for the CIMMYT Academy web portal and other platforms.
  • Coordinate the creation of content across various platforms, ensuring consistency and quality. Assist in documenting and communicating project news, case studies, capacity development achievements, updates, and stories for broader dissemination.
  • Performance Measurement: work closely with Communications to utilize analytics tools to measure the performance of social networks and campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Digital Brand Identity: Develop and maintain the digital brand identity of CIMMYT Academy and its associated projects.
  • Ensure consistency and alignment with CIMMYT's overall branding guidelines as provided by CIMMYT’s Communications department.
  • Training and Communication Calendar: Collaborate with stakeholders to create and implement an annual capacity development and learning calendar, communication calendar, ensuring alignment with project goals.
  • The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree in business communication, journalism, business administration, or equivalent technical field.
  • The candidate must have work on the conception of creative marketing and content ideas based on the objectives to be communicated.
  • Determine how best to represent a brand concept visually, specifically regarding graphic design and motion graphics.
  • Be a brand guardian, following brand guidelines closely.
  • The candidate must understand protocols and administrative/operational procedures in research support functions.
  • The candidate must have experience in managing social media networks, including content creation and community engagement.
  • Good documentation and writing skills such as concept notes, reports, and proposals.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects. Any web-based website builder software, 3D software, and Premiere is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of desktop publishing and photography.
