Result of Service
The main objective of the consultancy is to mobilize many women business networks and key businesses associations from across West Africa and the continent to familiarize themselves with and use the platform in an effective way, through building and leverage linkages and sustainable business partnerships, identifying and seizing markets opportunities.

Duties and Responsibilities
This consultancy assignment is located in the Subregional Office of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in Niamey, Niger. Under the direct supervision of the Director of SRO-WA, the international consultant will assume the following responsibilities: - Design strategic partnerships and programmes for the WABL Platform across Africa and awareness roll out. - Mobilize at least 1000 young and women businesses across Africa - Keep the young and women businesses across Africa engaged actively on the platform - Promote and support signature of contracts between entrepreneurs across Africa. - Making the Platform a breakthrough tool to contribute to greater trade among African businesses, using the AfCFTA as an anchored.
Qualifications/special skills
The consultant should possess a Master’s degree in Arts - Development, international Trade, International Relations, International Law and/or technology, and related areas At least five (5) years' experience in the realms of International Trade, Exports and Development Settings. Understanding of Africa's regional integration agenda and key AfCFTA issues is souhaitable. Experience in implementation of initiatives to support online portal to improve SMEs access to new markets /Business Linkages & Networking opportunities. Solid experience in high-level engagements with key stakeholders and actors from diverse sectors Experience in the design and development of Digital Solutions – E-Learning platform, and Training tools to improve digital literacy for SMEs across Africa.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the UN Secretariat. For this consultancy, fluency in English or French is required. Knowledge of another UN language is desirable United Nations
