Job Description

JOB SUMMARY:
Emergency MMU Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to beneficiaries in community or home settings, conducting basic medical diagnostics, dispensing prescribed medications, and offering self-care guidance. Moreover, will maintain detailed medical records, assist in planning unit schedules and supply management, and monitor community health while contributing to data collection and program improvement strategies based on evaluations and patient feedback.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES: 
• Assists Medical Doctor during medical consultations as per scope of services provided at the primary health level.
• Records patients data pre and post consultation in the MMU.
• Provide nursing care and basic medical consultations within MMU.
• With support of the Senior MMU Officer, develop relationships with local authorities and the community to ensure smooth planning of the visits and productive relationships with local people.
• Contribute to development of schedules, routes and workflow for the MMU.
• Contribute to preparation of weekly data report template.
• Participates in the information management and data collection for the MMU.
• Lead the crowd control and workflow in the MMU location, according to triage rules and based on higher needs of patients.
• Work for a specified period per month (up to 10 days) in the remote locations (business trip outside the duty base) and the rest of the days in the duty-base locations (daily travel from and to field office).
• Follow step by step with core humanitarian principles and GEDI politics.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• Degree in Nursing or other health related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in practicing nursing in clinical or outpatient setting. Experience in working with emergency room is an asset.
• Previous experience in health programs and NGO experience are preferred.
• Ability to work within a team structure, flexible, and can cope with stressful workloads and working with limited resources
• Fluency in Ukrainian and Russian is required, and basic knowledge in English is desirable.
• Proficiency in IT skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential for tasks such as data collection, mapping updates, and providing detailed weekly reports on outreach activities.

• Position reports to Senior MMU Officer.
• Closely collaborate with other members of Emergency Mobile Medical Unit and Health department.
